Colleen blends her strategic and tactical expertise to optimize operating models and manage complex business and technology changes. With over 25 years of experience as a strategy, operations and technology leader, she has successfully led global portfolio management, people, process, and technology transformations across various business changes including M&A, high growth, market shifts, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, and corporate growth. Her corporate and consulting expertise includes leading efforts for mid to Fortune 500 corporations with over $41 billion in revenue.

 

Colleen’s expertise spans multiple industries including Energy, Consumer & Industrial Products, High-Tech, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Professional Services. She has led initiatives across various functions, such as Technology (Digital, AI, Data, Cybersecurity), Marketing/Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and Human Resources. She consistently drives business growth and builds people, regulation and risk management solutions.

 

She is known as a collaborative innovative leader that can skillfully drive leadership alignment, vision and strategy execution. She is a compassion human with a focus on developing the next generation of leaders, guiding organizational development and supporting non-profit boards - How Women Lead & Invest and the Springboard Foundation.

As a Founder of A-HUMAN-I, Colleen guides business and technology executives to strategically develop and manage AI strategy, governance, product adoption and workforce effectiveness. She addresses the human complexities of AI transformation to achieve AI results, increase the AI portfolio value, and minimize product overruns and risks.

 

In her role as Senior Partner at West Monroe, Colleen managed the Chicago, Columbus and Pittsburgh Operations Excellence practices with a team of 160 consultants in Financial Management, Supply Chain, Productivity, Portfolio Management, Change Management and IT Strategy & Outsourcing specialties. She managed a $68 million P&L that has delivered a consistent 25% annual growth rate and 64% gross margins over two years through challenging market conditions. Much of this success is attributed to a blend of strategic business management acumen, courageous leadership, innovative offerings and building a transparent and compassionate culture leading to a 4% annual attrition rate.

 

Colleen also designed and led many key client strategic initiatives such as auditing and redefining governance for a $750 million IT portfolio for a Fortune 500 Utility to improve performance and risk management; building the Consultant of the Future go-to-market approach including AI tools for an Insurance company; establishing a cybersecurity governance organization for $41 billion company; reorganizing an enterprise-wide IT team; redefining organizational and sales roles for a leading Cybersecurity company; managing CIO merger portfolio for a benefits organizations; leading the divestiture and stand-up of 12 enterprise systems within 6 months for a professional services organization.

 

Prior to her last role, Colleen held roles as the Centric Consulting National Lead for Program and Change Management practices; Head of Organizational Effectiveness for Navistar; Global Change Project Leader for Zurich Insurance; Owner of a Strategic Communications firm; Director of Marketing for a Technology company; Strategy Consultant for a Consulting firm; and Programmer for General Motors Supply Chain team. Additional areas of interest - Colleen studied casted glass at Chihuly’s Pilchuck school and currently creates drawings and paintings. She attended Second City’s Improv school for 1 ½ years. She loves outdoor activities and fitness (weightlifting, biking, kayaking and hiking).
