Vanessa is a serial entrepreneur and active angel investor with a background in Digital Development and Retail Finance. Vanessa’s current role is as the CEO and Founder of The Vinetta Project, a high impact Capital Platform that accelerates
female founder's growth and facilitates access to Capital. Vanessa began her career in retail finance and private equity in Vancouver and New York. Following that she worked at a top digital development agency consulting with fortune 500 companies on their digital innovation projects, as well as leading startups on their tech infrastructure and software builds. Vanessa launched her own technology venture called Evry in 2010. Evry was a crowd-funding and payments platform for group
activities that enabled users to schedule group plans and collect money more efficiently.
Through Vinetta, Vanessa has cultivated a diverse global network of founders, investors and corporate partners focused on closing the gender based funding gap for female tech founders. Vinetta has enabled the flow of over $225M in venture
Capital to Seed stage companies. She has experience operating, investing in and scaling early-stage technology companies. She also has valuable investor relations experience from all sides of the table. Vanessa has been featured in INC, Business
Insider and CNNMoney’s Upstart 30. She is a regular contributor to Forbes where she covers tech innovations and the venture landscape. Vanessa, was recently elected to the National Women’s Business council, a non-partisan a non-partisan
federal advisory committee established to serve as an independent source of advice and policy recommendations to the Administrator of the SBA, Congress, and the President on economic issues of importance to women business owners.
